Our Fire Door Compliance Survey is the most detailed inspection service we offer. It’s a full, component-by-component examination designed to bring your building to verified fire door compliance. Each door is inspected, measured, photographed, and documented in line with current fire safety standards.

What to Expect

1. Pre-Inspection Consultation - Before any inspection begins, we consult with you to assess health and safety requirements, establish site access, contact points, and entry protocols and agree on inspection scope, timings, and methodology.  This stage ensures minimal disruption to your building operations.

2. Detailed door-by-door inspection – Every door is examined against 22 point compliance checks . This is carried out by certified technicians using our tailored inspection reports.

3. Depending on client requirements, inspections may be:

   1. Non-invasive – surface-level assessment of visible components.

   2. Invasive – selective removal of architrave to examine fire-stopping between wall and frame (typically 1 in 15 doors sampled). Reinstatement of architrave may require minor redecorating or painting which remains the responsibility of the client.   

4. Evidence collection – Each door is assessed, photographed, and assigned a unique identifier.

5. Compliance scoring – Door components are rated as compliant, or non-compliant.

6. Recommendations – You receive clear actions, prioritised by urgency, to reach full compliance.

What you'll receive

• A comprehensive and summary report which summarises the fire door protection capability on the premises in an easily understood summary document, providing a clear audit trail — a key part of maintaining the Golden Thread of fire safety compliance.

• A Fire Door Register of all doors inspected 

• An individual report for each door with component-by-component grading and a pictorial guide and photographic evidence 

• Option for follow-up inspection or repair coordination

• We look to conclude inspection and follow up report within 1 - 2 weeks

• With this report, remedial work can be costed and contracted with certified service providers, and returned quotations easily evaluated with value for money having identified the specific work required
